“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.”― Maya Angelou
We love the communities we we live and work in!
We are grateful to be involved in charity fundraising and community events throughout the year, and there’s something extra special about the holiday season. We could not be more proud of our generous team, and the communities we live in. It is a true privilege to be able to give back. We wanted to share a few highlights of the events and fundraisers we’ve had the pleasure to participate in!
In the spirit of the Holiday Season, but in keeping with our social responsibility to keep everyone safe, Royal LePage Team Realty will not be accepting physical donations of toys and food in our offices as we have done in years past, but we are excited to announce that we will be collecting cash donations for some of our beloved local charities:
We are proud sponsor of the Magic of light raising money for CHEO. Magic of Lights is a dazzling, drive-through holiday lights experience featuring favorite holiday scenes and characters of the season using the latest LED technology and digital animations. Experience Magic of Lights from the comfort and safety of your own car as you wind through the sparkling path of Ottawa’s favorite holiday tradition. One carload, one price. Magic of Lights is a great family entertainment value, and every ticket to Magic of Lights benefits Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
Every year, Toy Mountain collects new, unwrapped toys for children in need over the holiday season. This year is a little different as we are collecting donation instead to collecting toys at all of branch locations. We want to limited the amount of interactions within our offices.
The Salvation Army provides support to help meet human needs and transform communities in Ottawa. We are excited to assist in this initiative by collecting monetary donations that will be put fully toward assisting people who have come to depend on their services. We are collecting toys at our Kemptville location if you want to drop off toys to help support the Salvation Army.
This is a charity that is very near and dear to our hearts because of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. When women and children are looking to escape domestic abuse, the local women’s shelters provide them with a safe place to live while they get back on their feet.
COVID-19 has placed extra hardship on many families this year, and we want do all that we can to help provide food to people who need that extra support. In an abundance of precaution, we will only be accepting monetary donations this year that will help local Food Banks in the communities that we serve.
